What do I need to bring with me?

SunshineVacation Townhomes are fully furnished and well equipped to ensure that you have a fantastic holiday. We supply clean sheets on all beds, bath towels, hand soap and toilet paper. You should bring your own personal toiletries such as shampoo, bath soap, etc. and be prepared to pick up a few supplies to replenish during your stay.

How do I get in the villa when I arrive?

The keys are secured in a key box outside the villa. Prior to your arrival we will give you the code so you can access the key box. Open the key box to access the key to the villa, then return the key to the lock box and lock the box again. This method ensures that you won't get locked out of the villa.

What do I do if any problems occur during my stay?

Our management team will be able to rectify problems and help you get things working. Please feel free to give them a call - they are very knowledgeable about the villa and are happy to help. Their phone number will be available at the villa, and we will also send that number to you before you begin your trip to Florida.

What will the weather be like when I arrive?

Florida is called the sunshine state because of its warm, comfortable year-round weather and an incredible amount of sunshine.

Generally November - February has daytime highs of around 75F/24C and lows of about 50F/12C. March, April and October have highs in the 80'sF/28C and lows around 60F/16C. May - September have highs around 90F/32C and lows around 70F/21C.

Florida is located in a sub-tropical climate. Thunder storms regularly occur which are sudden and heavy. In peak rainfall months from June to September, it often rains in the afternoon for a short time before clearing again to bright sunshine. Hurricane season is also during this time, and while Orlando is inland it still can be affected by hurricanes and precautions should be taken if a hurricane is in the forecast.

I don't like giving my credit card number on the internet. Are there other payment options?

The preferred payment method is Paypal (credit card) for the Booking Deposit, followed by bank draft/money order for the Balance/Security Deposit. However we understand your concern and we will certainly accept bank draft/money order mailed to us for all payments.

Paying using the Paypal payment method we recommend allows you to use your Paypal account or any major credit card, knowing that no one (including us!) gets your credit card information except Paypal. And Paypal is one of the largest credit card processors in the world (owned by eBay).

Also you need to be aware that your booking is not a contract until we receive the deposit. Since we don't hold dates waiting for a deposit, it's possible you could lose your dates using this slower method. If this occurs, you could choose alternate dates or have your deposit returned.

Is maid service included in the price?

Our Villa is rented out on a self-catering basis. One cleaning is included in the price and that happens before you arrive. The property is fully cleaned with freshly laundered linens and towels supplied on departure of every guest party, and it's inspected just prior to your arrival. For your convenience the villa is provided with a vacuum cleaner, brush and pan so you can take care of minor cleanups during your stay.

When do I pay the Booking Deposit / Final Payment / Damage Deposit?

Your deposit payment is due at the time of booking to confirm and hold the reservation.

Final payment for all rentals, security deposit and additional options is due 8 weeks prior to the arrival date.

If you book less than 8 weeks before your date of arrival then the full amount is payable immediately.

Is there a phone at the property?

Yes. You can make free local calls and free long distance calls anywhere in the U.S. To make other long distance calls, you may purchase phone calling cards at local stores - these give you good rates on long distance calls.

How do I book the villa?

  • check out the villa details and prices to make sure it suits your needs.

  • check the villa Availability Calender. If it shows "Available" for the dates you require, then email us a villa "Availability/Pricing Inquiry". We'll reply to you with an actual complete price quote and confirm the availability of the villa for your dates.

  • If you want to go ahead with the booking, email us a completed "Reservation/Booking Form" including the names and ages of all guests who will be staying at the villa (both overnight and day guests).

  • After your booking details are approved (we reserve the right to refuse bookings at our discretion), we will email you requesting your deposit payment (usually by Paypal). Once we receive your deposit, your booking is confirmed. Until that time, dates are available to others on a first pay, first booked basis.

Are there any restrictions at the villa?

In order to make the villa suitable to most guests, there are a few restrictions we enforce:

  • Smoking is not allowed in the villa or anywhere on the property.

  • Pets are not permitted.

  • While you are free to enjoy cooking your own meals in the villa, please avoid extremely smelly/spicy foods particularly at the end of your stay, as the smell can linger and be unpleasant for the next guests if they don't share your tastes in food!

Do you have a maximum length of stay?

Florida law defines a short term "vacation home" as a property that rents for less than 5 months. Anything longer is considered to be long term and is governed by a different series of laws.

Sunshinevacation does not deal with long term rentals.
